 Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. The pictures or the television can't show the stench, the smell of urine and water mixed on the floors, the feces. It was unimaginably horrible.

 The smell is horrible, revolting from all the feces.

 One claimant has written to me describing it. They ate nothing. The smell was indescribable. The stench was indescribable. Some drank their own urine because they were in effect dying of thirst.

 The show was really good this year and yet we had horrible, horrible ratings, ... When we were in conversation with Bravo, they were like, 'Look, the show is good,' we got the best reviews of any show on television, and they said, 'But there's a certain number,' and they showed us the number and I'm not a TV guy, but they said, 'Look, this number, no matter what, we can't bring the show back. ... This is just terrible, we can't justify keeping it on air.'

 Hard to walk through the house without stepping on feces or urine-stained carpets.

 The sewage problems were bad. Dead bodies floated and settled for days and the stench was horrible. The whole thing was horrible. Pick your worst nightmare and double it.

 I don't go out with the idea of seeing an elk, bear, mountain lion. If I go out and keep my expectations in check I always see something interesting ... It's a huge country. It's just unimaginably rich with what you can see hear, smell and remember if you open yourself up to the adventure.

 You could tell which houses had the dead bodies in them because you could smell the stench before you got out of the car.

 This is how we made it: We slept next to dead bodies, we slept on streets -- at least four times, next to human feces and urine.

 An inspector determined the house was unsanitary because there was dog feces and urine throughout the house.

 I don't have to do anything. Nothing. Just follow up with her and watch what I eat and drink a lot of water. I'll have a doctor in New York give her my urine samples. Hopefully things will stay where they're at, and actually can get better in terms of my high blood pressure and a little protein in my urine. There are little things you have going on that you have to monitor ... I'm relieved.

 We could smell the stench from rotten leaves and timber from 500 feet in a helicopter.
