 We want to keep it simple. We're just getting to the stage now where we're writing a few originals. We don't have a CD. We play when we want and anything we want. And, that's fine with us.

 We always look for a good piece. That sounds very simple, but it's not. We look for good writing, good characters, and if a moral is part of that, that's fine. But we're not saying a play must teach a value. Comedy is great for the creative process.

 New York Stage Originals is the company that founded Tap Kids,

 We really don't like to tie ourselves down to one genre. Our originals reflect that because our originals are very hard to categorize.

 Writing books isn't a drastic departure from writing for the stage. I've always written in the long format, five, eight, 10-minute pieces rather than one-liners, so since writing books, the process hasn't changed much. A piece in my live routine can end up as part of one of my HBO specials, and it can also end up in one of the books.

 Coronado made their shots and Summit didn't. When you get to this stage, you have to be ready to play. As long as we move the ball and play good defense, we'll do fine.

 Mozart has always been one of my favorite composers. His style of writing is amazing and a lot of his pieces sound so simple when you hear them but are actually very difficult to play.

 What makes the show so special is that they don't have any elaborate props on the stage. Just about everything on the stage, you can find in your home. They use simple objects like balls, bamboo, knives, forks, plates and chairs.

 I'm quite happy actually. The car feels good and we have improved many things. We lost maybe seven seconds towards the end of the first stage as it was hard on the brakes and they seemed to go off. However they seemed fine by the next stage.

 Most of the compositions (on the album) are originals of mine or tunes that I really like to play.

 You can never say there can't be (late) changes, but the side that we've picked, we believe can play in all weather conditions, whether it be fine or be wet, so at this stage, we wouldn't envisage making any change,

 It has taken me years of struggle, hard work and research to learn to make one simple gesture, and I know enough about the art of writing to realize that it would take as many years of concentrated effort to write one simple, beautiful sentence.

 I never thought that in three months, we'd have five originals and at least 40 covers to play. We've really enjoyed ourselves in the midst of hard work.

 There's an enormous inner concentration that's necessary to have the proper bearing on stage and to fill out the simple movements with energy. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. Even when an actor is standing still on stage, there's still an energy projected from that body. The audience should feel it, all the way through the performance.
