Rev Run is a gezegde

 Rev Run is a living legend of Hip-Hop, who's still making great music, but now he's also the dad to an amazing family, ... This series takes us inside his world. It's a kind of a reality 'Father Knows Best' with comedy, heart, Hip-Hop and drama-all under one roof at Run's House.

 I think we kind of gravitated toward the drama between the family, which was so fascinating and interesting, ... And it's like this dichotomy of this happy, shiny music, and then behind this 'Ozzie and Harriet' kind of exterior was this heavy, dysfunctional drama going on.

 It takes intelligence to make real comedy, and it takes a reality base to create all that little stuff I like to do that makes you giggle inside.

 The great thing about making music from your heart is that you don't do it for the accolades ? but if they do indeed come, the feeling is extra sweet. It's a wonderful time for Australian music and I feel privileged to be able to add a thread to the tapestry of great pop music that our country has given the world.

 I have done a sketch show almost every year since I started in 1975. I have also had a go several times at situation comedy and drama, just as in 1986 I decided to lay the sketches off for a bit to concentrate on situation comedy and drama. I am NOT giving up comedy. I love doing stand-up comedy and characters.

 These are actors that I think have a Fox kind of feel. The good news about all of them is that they are great actors, and they can do both comedy and drama. Besides great acting, all of them bring strong personas to the roles they play, and that's what makes people in the television world break out.

 Great music is an important part of living, especially during the holidays. Family activities such as gift wrapping, baking, cooking, and entertaining are enlivened with beautiful songs, traditional carols, fantastic vocalists, and famous musical renditions, ... Each selection in the compilation was carefully chosen from my many favorites for the holidays. I hope the Martha Stewart Living Music Series will become part of everyone's holiday traditions.

 I realize I'm going against the grain, doing a fully produced CD of comedy sketches and music at a time when the only comedy recordings are basically standup. But it's the kind of comedy records I grew up on and ... (have) always been kind of my favorite.

 If I get weepy, I don't want any slow cameras zooming in and music and stuff like that. You don't need to manufacture the drama. My heart's broken, my father's dead.

 It kind of sounds trite, but it's not. He's truly a living, working legend. He and his wife [Gloria] have contributed so much to that genre of music.

 Music springs from and is replenished by a hidden source which lies outside the world or reality. Music ever spoke to me of a mysterious world beyond, which moved my heart deeply and eloquently intimated its transcendental nature.

 He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. We discovered that the series really wants to be a comedy more than a drama.

 All we really want to do is tell a good story about a good man and his family and the struggle to get through life. It's a family drama with some dark comedy in it about this wonderful family that's just struggling like any other American family.

 We run the gamut from drama to sports to comedy to reality-type programming.
