 It's disappointing to have a regular season like we had and put yourself in position and not finish it off.  I?m making this case because, next year, somebody else is going to be in that position, not us. As long as you don?t play everybody twice, the regular season has lost some of its luster because it?s not a true regular-season champion any more.

 I thought about that as the clock was running down at the end of the game. Me and Lee (Evans) were talking about it ? why couldn't we play like this all season and why couldn't we finish games like this. We just didn't get it done this year.

 They have an opportunity to add to it if we're fortunate to come out on top. To have a chance to raise another banner and for them to win their last game, with two NIT championships, would be a phenomenal achievement. We talked about how we didn't finish strong in the regular season but we wanted to finish right. I can't think of a way, based on where we are now, that we aren't finishing right this season.

 Obviously, we played really well today. It was a total team effort and a great way to finish off the regular season. I couldn't be prouder of the girls. We're definitely riding a wave of momentum heading into the post-season.

 It was disappointing we didn't finish it in regulation. We're disappointed. We were in a position to be successful. It just didn't work out for us.

 You always hope you can get up here. The last two years we really had high hopes. Not that we didn't this year, but to go undefeated in the regular season two years in a row and not get to the state tournament was disappointing. That makes this extra satisfying.

It's a long season, and there's no way you can play that hard for that many games a year. …The playoffs are more of a sprint when you have to give that extra 20, 25 percent that you might not give when you are playing the fourth game in five nights during the season.

 We didn't finish the regular season too bad, we ended up No. 2 in the West.

 What we were doing was disappointing to where we wanted to finish our season. The problem we've had all year is third-and-six-plus.

 Obviously, the most disappointing thing is we just didn't do the things we had to do at the end, communicate. There was a little break down in communication, you know. They didn't have any more time-outs and I didn't think that they could run a play that was going to give them a good enough look that we couldn't defend.
