 Getting that first goal relaxed us quite a bit. And to have them chase us, instead of the other way around, was a big difference tonight.

 It's always easier to play with a two goal leader. That was especially true tonight because right before we scored, we were fighting the puck. The goal gave us more confidence and relaxed us.

 Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. Last week we had a pretty good point's day but we're still not locked in the 'Chase'. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

 Practice was more relaxed. We need to be more relaxed. Last week was too intense. (Tuesday) we were relaxed and had more fun on the ice laughing and all that. Sometimes in hockey if you play too intense or too tight you don't play your best game. (Monday and Tuesday) were more relaxing days and I think that's going to show in our game (tonight).

 The game was much closer than the score indicated. Kyle Eden played great in goal tonight, and I think that was a big difference.

 Special teams was the difference tonight. Penalty killing was unbelievable, even though we gave up that five-on-three goal. Other than that, we were terrific.  Our goal was to clinch our spot in the Chase and we've done that. We can kind of go for it all at Richmond and then it's on to the next goal: the Nextel Cup Championship.

 Our goal coming into this was to get that team gold that we were so close to in 2002. It wasn't a personal goal, it was a team goal. I think that's why I was more relaxed.

 Chase is the Georgia State Player of the Year and a high school school All-American. He's a forward that has set several scoring records. What I like about Chase is his all-around athletic ability, toughness and goal scoring capability.

 My goal every year is to win the championship and when you don't do it ? or even make the Chase, as was the case last year ? it leaves you feeling a little empty. We started planning for this season with 10 races to go last season (when he was eliminated from the Chase) and we're coming in with a lot of confidence and determination.

 Against a team like that, you have to get bounces. They had some opportunities in the end. We executed on our five-on-three ( Robert Lang 's winning goal was with a two-man-advantage) and they didn't. Specialty teams were a bit of a difference tonight.
