 The job of the crew chief has certainly changed since I held that position, ... Today, the job of the crew chief is almost too big for one person.  I'm real disappointed because the crew did a top-notch job and I kinda let them down in the last corner. I did everything I could, Jimmie just did a better job than I did.

 I've been thinking about this since seventh grade. I've dreamed about playing in this game for a long time. I never thought I'd ever be good enough to play in it.

 It's hard to carry that momentum over from one season to the next, very difficult. There's no one reason why we ran good. It's just about combinations - crew chief, driver, truck, crew - you've got to have every piece of the puzzle and we did. It just worked.

 I don't think there has been a better year for basketball. It's great for the high school kids, but maybe even more so for those kids in sixth, seventh and eighth grade. They see how much fun those section and state games are.
