 I probably have had to articulate this for our staff more than for almost any other show we've ever done. I think basically because Our Town has been so clearly the property of high schools and other well-meaning bodies of folks who want to make a patriotic statement.

 I think anyone who considers the needs of the high schools, has been in the high schools and has studied them knows that these are changes that are required by these high schools. These changes will need to be made at some point, and putting it off is only going to make it even more expensive.

 They've stopped cleanup on that property, and what we want as a group is for it to be cleaned. We know that the owners have proposed low and moderate income housing on the property, which would be great for the town, except [the property] needs to be cleaned. The town hasn't enforced anything on that property in 18 years.

 The Guard is different in the respect that these folks are seen around town every day, driving a deputy sheriff's patrol car or working at the 7-11 or teaching high school, ... These are everyday folks who have been commanded to go to war.

 A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

 Realistically, the folks on that board may put up one or two houses a year. We also know there is additional property at Sharon Ridge to build some more affordable housing if the Sharon Housing Authority wants to go in that direction. We have to keep working folks in town instead of just retirees.

 Personally, I think it's a safe way to show school spirit. Even though it doesn't happen now, if it helps folks have a more enjoyable time and show support for their schools, the district would welcome it.

 Everybody's trying to get folks to come to their town, and you've got to get them to look at you first. This may get them to look when you're basically competing with the entire world for that tourism dollar.

 It's without a doubt the worst visual spot in town. We don't always get complaints from those areas. You've got folks whose property is in the same condition as the people across the street.

 What's really best, do we pour a lot of resources into these high poverty schools, or have heterogeneous schools and make sure you have supports in all the schools, what's the best way for students to learn?

 If you ask most Americans if they compare gay and lesbian Americans to polygamists and folks who are involved in incest and the other categories he used, I think there are very few folks in the mainstream who would articulate those views.

 I'm not for two high schools. I think it's a one-high-school town.

 Folks are concerned about losing the small town flavor. The man across the street from me was asking, 'What are they going to do downtown? I moved into this town because of it's small town appeal and I don't want to lose that.' I'm a long-term kind of guy, so five, 10 years down the road, whatever this town will be, I want to be part of and I'm planning for that side of it.
