One thing I like gezegde

 One thing I like about boxing is that I will not have to deal with the same kind of politics that I had to in skating. In boxing, it is not about your appearance, or how your costume looks, what color it is, or how much it costs.

 We have a great product. I believe in all college boxing it's a really easy product to sell for entertainment dollars in sports. Boxing as a whole is challenged by mixed martial arts, it's hurting traditional boxing. It's a different era now for boxing. It's difficult to get people to follow the sport. It's special for us to have loyal fans.

 There are some similarities between boxing and skating. Both require power and grace. Physically, boxing is obviously much harder. I weighed between 105-108 pounds when I skated. I will weigh around 120 for my first fight. I just ate a bunch of carbohydrates, which was great, to help gain some weight. I did not lift weights at all.

 I don't know if I'm going to fight again or not, ... I have an odd relationship with boxing. Boxing took me to a better life, and I love being in the ring. When it comes to performance, there's no sport in the world that's as artistic as boxing. It takes genius to win a championship fight at the highest level. Boxing is a love I have that will never go away. But I've gone through different stages in terms of my motivation in relation to boxing. At first, I was fighting to please my father. Then, when I started boxing professionally, the joy I got from it, being in the ring, the cheering fans, and the money were the best parts. After that, there was a time when I did it for the belts. Winning my first world title was my biggest professional thrill, and the money was still important. Now I'm doing it for history. The money doesn't matter anymore.

 We've seen some horrific decisions, and we don't see them once every millennium. If you're any kind of boxing fan, you see them much too often. If it's several times a year, it's too much, but it's way beyond that. Every month, you're going to see a bad decision if you watch enough boxing.

 This is a very exciting day. I've been fortunate to be involved with Broadway Boxing from the start. I can't even imagine what the New York boxing scene would be without Lou and Broadway Boxing.

 This is important for boxing. As heavyweight boxing goes, so goes the rest of boxing.

 I am a fair fighter, and I want to fight fair. If you can beat me, hey, I'll be the first to shake your hand but don't cheat me. Don't take what I worked so hard for if you don't deserve it. It really hurt me that they tried to do that to me. I hope every boxing fan in the world sees what that referee tried to do to me and if they do I think he'll never be allowed near a boxing ring again. He has no place in the boxing game.

 I've been kick-boxing for exercise. And now if I turn on boxing on the television by accident, I watch it, and I love it. Whereas a year ago, I thought it was the stupidest thing I had even seen-that you would voluntarily watch these people beat the crap out of each other and think, oh, that's entertainment.

 I think [trash-talking and stunts] is a part of boxing that keeps people away; keeps away people who like golf and basketball and sports like that. Now, fight fans do like that there is violence, but Long Island is a different kind of crowd. So, with boxing here we need to be gentlemen and do our business in the ring.

 This will be the best all-around boxing card ever here in Los Angeles, ... The prices of the card are affordable. They appeal to the ordinary boxing fan here in Los Angeles. You will not see tickets for $1000. Fans who love boxing can purchase tickets as low as $25. Over half the tickets are $50 and less.

 That's the rough tactics of boxing. But I'm a bigger, stronger man. I'm just coming into my prime. I've got a lot more to offer boxing now.

 Yeah, it's about boxing, ... I don't know what made me write a song about boxing. I just wanted to have fun and do something a little different after always writing about love.

 My feeling is that while we are constructing a show you need not be a boxing fan to enjoy, it will reintroduce millions of people to boxing,

 I could be boxing against Hulk Hogan or Mickey Mouse. It just feels great to be boxing again, legally.
