 We're certain there's water. We're not certain it's liquid. The evidence that there might be liquid water is compelling. I think that liquid water is just below the surface. But a different school of thought says the ice layer is much thicker.

 We're inferring that there is a liquid water reservoir under the surface and it's erupting in a geyser-like fashion, maybe like the Yellowstone geysers you would see.

Planets that are close to their stars are easier to find. The first truly Earth-like planet we discover might be a world orbiting a red dwarf.

 We are expecting to get funding in the neighborhood of $25,000 to $50,000 from the Bureau of Reclamation, the state of California and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

 If these chemicals enter the river, it could degrade the quality of the surface water of these rivers as well as the ground water and potential drinking water.
