 Most people who take our exercise classes are college-age women. Pole dancing just seems like it promotes objectification of women and surface sexuality.

 I believe there are other ways to get exercise like belly dancing. These classes seem better for older, more mature women who are rediscovering their sexuality.

 We certainly have contributed to changing people's attitudes to sex. Certainly women's attitudes, ... Over the last 10 years, women in the 1990s -- certainly here in the UK -- are much more aware of their own sexuality. They're more comfortable about talking to their partners about what they want from a relationship. And I think they're all positive changes.

 I was drawn to vaginas because of my own personal history, because of sexuality, because women's empowerment is deeply connected to their sexuality. And, I'm obsessed with women being violated and raped, and with incest. All of these things are deeply connected to our vaginas.

 Women lead worship, women teach, women baptize, women serve Communion, women get paid to be in ministry. We have hundreds of women from SPU who are leaders in our church.

 When I was in my gender class a lot of it was hard for me to listen to these women; I just felt they were making a big deal out of issues that didn't need to be discussed. Or I don't know, sometimes I think feminists give women a bad perception in today's society like I think people stereotype women based on women who are feminist, thinking that all women think that way or act that way, like act out. And I don't think that's the case.

 It caught me off guard when I saw those numbers. But then I realized that in my own practice, I've been working with a lot of single women lately; young women just out of college, widows wanting to downsize, divorced women who are starting over. So, I see no reason why this trend shouldn't continue.

 Fully 57 percent of American college students are women. Life insurance companies sell more policies to women than to men. As women continue to draw on experience and education, they're accelerating their numbers in upper management, too.

 At male strip shows, it is still the women that we watch, the audience of women and their eager faces. They are more obscene than if they were dancing naked themselves.

 The reason there are more women than men is simply because there are more illiterate women than men. But it's also because men have to work to support their families and have less time to follow classes.

 I like belly dancing because it gives women the chance to spend time away from their hectic lives. It's a very passive but energizing way to focus on oneself and to really get in touch with who you are as a person. It's a fun and exciting exercise that merges the mind, body and spirit.

 The reality of abortion isn't political at all. Women don't come in here and say, 'I want to exercise my constitutional right.' It's a personal, emotional decision. Most women express relief, but some talk about sadness and loss.
