 He was the last of the name-recognized 'Our Gang' cast members. There are quite a few people still living who appeared in a few 'Our Gang' films, but none who made as many as Gordon. If you're a fan of the films, you instantly remember Porky.

 Most of the 'Our Gang' cast grew up to be small people, for some reason. Gordon's growth spurt that pushed him out of the business continued until he was 6-foot-4, a really big guy.

 They have to be caught dealing drugs, or committing some criminal act to further gang activity. So we have to prove that they are gang members.

 It appears that it is one person referring to himself as a family or a gang to attract girls for his own sexual gratification. This is not a street gang but he uses the gang's name.

 Gang names, gang symbols, gang terminology is being used. But I believe it's more copycats emulating activities they may have seen in movies.

 We don't know if it's gang-related. I know that is a conclusion that a lot of folks want to jump to because you got two groups of young people, ... But, not all young people are members of gang.

 It's not very surprising that gang members would lie to police. What's surprising is that police would lie to gang members. What you end up with is this whole group of deceivers, operating in this shadowy underworld.

 Our police department keeps a pretty close watch with their gang-intervention officers, and the police chief (John Blackburn) said we have not seen an increase in gang activity. Kids still fight like they do anywhere in the country, but that doesn't mean it's a gang-related issue.

 I had been offered a couple of things but had turned them down, ... They weren't my kind of films. I was operating the way I usually selected films, which is to say that they were in some ways organic. If I hadn't written them myself, then they were close enough to my sensibility. Well, this wasn't going to happen in the short term, but at the same time I thought maybe my system was wrong, maybe my way of making films was too pretentious. So I called my agents and said, `Could you just get me a go picture?' You know, one of these green-lit films. Along came three films, and one of them was `Witness.'

 I decided to have the clips. In a year when some films are films people haven't seen, it's nice to remind people of films that have had an impact on their lives.

 Thanks to the citizen's tip and the surveillance of our Gang Unit, nine guns were taken off the streets Saturday night and will not be used in any further street crime. Specialized Investigations Division detectives are working diligently to investigate gang activity and are letting members know that their criminal activity will not be tolerated.

 It's not like the bar is associated with any particular gang. There might be people in a gang that visit the bar, but that's the extent of it.

 What I remember myself from films, and what I love about films, is specific scenes and characters.
