 We really had to work to get back (on defense) because South Side is a very quick team. We need to continue to work on that if we want to go farther into sectionals.

 As a team, we played very good as far as our team defense. We tried to work on our weak-side help because we knew we were lacking in that aspect. I just think we tried to hustle and do our best. Down the stretch, we need to work on our defense a little better. We didn't get enough stops toward the end.

 We will be taking down the old poles and putting up some decorative lighting. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. We are going to replace the sidewalks on the south side. We would like to also be able to do some work on the drainage problem for the south side businesses.

 It took a lot of work with the conditioning coach, and I feel as strong as ever, and I'm going to continue to work with it so I don't have problems. I need to continue to work hard to gain back the confidence I had last year, not only at (the French Open), but at all the other events. Work hard, that's all I have to do for now.

 That's the way we do business, ... This was our ninth shutout of the season. What you saw tonight was us at our best. A big maroon line in the back that South Side couldn't figure out. They (South Side) had no answer for that defense tonight.

 There's a lot of work going on. I think this next week is going to be critical, and hopefully the weather will hold out and this next storm will go farther south.

 I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the work being done out here. It's almost untapped ? don't get me wrong, these companies have done defense work and industry work. But I'm surprised at the quality of work and innovation we've been getting from them. Especially on the technology side.

 We've got a lot of work to do. We're starting much farther down the ladder than we have in the past and we're not climbing as quick as we have. They are working harder than I've seen to try to get over that hill.

 When you're a 2-4 football team, you go back to work and you work your way through. That's what's left of this team right now, ... What the rest of the year holds for us, we'll find out and we'll see what that means. This team will stay together, it will work and it will try to isolate the way that we can get better. That's the only approach I know how to take at this point.

 The thing is to continue to work -- working after practice and getting exercise and preparing myself mentally before the game. Just continue to get better and continue to make strides. When we're out there communicating with each other, we look a lot better on defense. If I help get my team the win, I feel good after the game.

 Kearns wasn't taking a team to sectionals. I went looking for another team to train with, and Matt seemed really excited to work with me.

 They are experienced players and have been in sectionals before. Hopefully that will work to our favor so they won't try to jump back in and try to do too much.

 I'm continuing to work on range of motion and my strength, ... It's coming back pretty quick. Hopefully, it can continue to progress at that pace.

 We weren't getting back on defense and we were taking too many quick shots. We'd make one pass and then shoot. We needed to work the ball around.

 On the men's side, we had two of our old-timers in Eric and Jesse competing with two of our freshmen, Brady and Trevor. Jesse competed unattached tonight. He's coming off a foot injury, and he's just starting to come back. Eric was just tired after football. We've been kind of slow with him coming back. But he will be there pretty quick. His mark tonight isn't much off his personal best right now. Brady and Trevor both have a couple of events they need to work on. Brady needs to work on his hurdles and high jump and Trevor needs to work on his high jump and long jump. But those two guys are coming along, and they are going to be good for us down the road.
