en I would think the pheasant season will be half as good as it was last year, because there are going to be half as many birds out there. You're not just going to be able to walk out on the Game Lands and expect to shoot a bird.

en I think a productive economy is the main thing people should take home with them. This is a unique period in American history. I think we'll look back on it as a time you wanted to own stocks rather than trade stocks. I think, secondarily, corporate America is showing good earnings reports. The second half of this year may be lower than the second half of last year, but they're still robust, probably in the high teens. I think if you focus on financial guide posts, that eventually will drive prices. I think you'll see the market in general do better as the year wears on.

en Generally you go with a manager who has a meaningful track record somewhere. It doesn't guarantee this is a smart or good manager, but at least it said I've got a few years and I can learn a lot from that.

en I don't expect it to be as strong in 1999 as what we saw in 1998, which was an extraordinarily good year. But we do see still further growth from the consumer throughout the course of 1999, particularly in the first half of the year, and February was a good example of that, so we're off to a good start.
