Vinnie wrestled hard, and he had not practiced all week because (of illness) but wrestled well enough to qualify. Christian wrestled really well. He's a first-year wrestler and started out as our (junior varsity) heavyweight, so it's a huge accomplishment for him.

I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

We wrestled hard with a similar intensity level as Saturday at sectionals. This has been a focus of ours all season, to win and make it to the state duals. We were hoping for a better draw. Louisiana-Muscatine was a team we faced in 2004 and, of any team we wrestled, they scored the most points against us.

I was pleased and proud with the way our guys wrestled. This was our best team effort of the year. The wrestlers stepped up to the challenges and wrestled well. We need to use this as a turning point to our season.

Michael's a committed athlete. Loves the sport and has wrestled well. We've wrestled against the Eastern Slope schools in our region a lot this year and he's dominated in those matches.

We wrestled well, came from behind in some cases to take the lead and then pin them. We felt real good about the way we wrestled and some of these guys that were struggling at the beginning of the year are picking up some wins here towards the end of the season and that helps.

In a good year the derby will make us $15,000 or $16,000 clear, ... It's a huge draw, we always pack the stands full of people and it's our single biggest moneymaker of the year. That's why it's so important that we try to get it in, even though it will be at a separate time from the fair -- it will be harder to draw a crowd.

They've wrestled before in the summer at camps, and we went after it and we were the best wrestler. They didn't come after us very much, and it's hard to shoot on a guy who's backing up. Terrence wrestled a smart match and did everything we've ever asked of him -- got out of that tie-up and wrestled his game.
