 We just need to play our game and beat teams that beat up refs.

 When you get to a game like this, it's who's playing, who's on a roll. The teams are close enough that either one could win the game. They beat us by six points the last time, and we had them beat. We let them out. Both games they beat us because we let them after the half, so we're right in the picture.

 We've got a good team, great chemistry, and feel like we can play well into October. But it starts on the third against the Pirates. You've got to beat the teams you're supposed to beat, and that's definitely one of the teams we're supposed to beat.

 (Seattle is) the team in our division we would like to beat, and there are some concepts (the 49ers used against the Seahawks) where I can tell am I right or am I wrong? The game a lot of times can tell you that. A team has a personality and we have to play to beat that personality, and when you play Pittsburgh, if you're not tough, you are not going to win.  We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

 We beat those same teams, and we blew them out. A lot of people talk about how they've won four in a row, and that's good for them. But we beat those teams, too. I don't think that has anything to do with the playoffs. It's about who starts fast in this game and who makes the plays.

 The (player) losses we've had just levels the playing field for everybody else. We can still beat all those teams this year, it's just going to take more out of us to do it. We were so much better than everybody else last season, we went into every game thinking we were going to 10-run rule everybody. Now those teams are going to be a little bit tougher to beat.

 They're a good team. They beat us twice this year and they beat us twice last year. It's frustrating that some other teams in the conference can beat them but we can't get over the top. I don't know if it's just the style of play, or what.
