 We need him. He's a leverage player (in blocking) and he's a great young man and he has some skill. He can catch the ball. His involvement is going to pick up from here on out because he played well Saturday.

 He caught a lot of balls in one game all of a sudden. That's good. That helps you. ... I think he did a good job blocking. He's a good player. We drafted him as a blocking tight end who can catch the ball. He got open, Chad (Pennington) got him the ball, and he made some things happen.

 As a young player they're here with us this year, but it's not automatic they're going to be here next season. Our goal is not to pick up the first pick overall season after season. It's to improve. Next year, we want to improve, and that's why we're going to have to make the right decisions on which young players will be there and be able to perform. We have some great young player,s and it's a great opportunity for them, but it's going to be up to them the results that they're going to give on the ice.

 It was the Vince Young show. If he comes out, he should be the No. 1 pick in the draft. What an athlete. Bush is a great player, too, but I don't think he's better than Vince Young. Young was the best player on the field. I mean he made so many good plays throwing and running.

 He's a great young player who has great vision and competes hard every night. He has tremendous skill and great character.

 It was great to see Nick catch the ball and run with the catch, ... I think he can be really a fine football player. On that TD run we didn't block many people.

 Our receivers just dropped passes tonight. Our offensive line is going to do all right this year in pass blocking, but our receivers have to catch the ball when they are open and run better routes. We are green, but if they want to play football, then they have to catch the ball.

 Novak was more of a catch-and-shoot player when we played them in the tournament. Now he can put the ball on the floor. He can run the floor. He's agile, a quicker player. He's just a much better player.

 There's a lot of decisions you need to make. Can I return this? Should I fair catch it? Should I let it roll into the end zone? It requires a disciplined, aware guy who also has great instincts in open field awareness and a guy who can catch the ball and take some punishment. Obviously, we need somebody who can make somebody miss. It's a skill not many people perfect or many want to perfect.

 Washington has some good young players and some skill, particularly with Ovechkin. We played Pittsburgh [in Friday's home opener], and there was a lot of talk about Sidney Crosby [this season's No. 1 pick]. In a situation like that, I want to prove myself.

 He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. I'd like to be able to put him off the ball and have him catch the ball with a live dribble. He's so good with pick and rolls, I'd like to get him in different pick and roll situations rather than just coming down and running it. It just adds to our game.

 You've got to get the ball, but then you've got to make a decision with the ball in your hands and execute the skill and we're not great in any of those areas, on average, over the 16 quarters we've played.

 We played basketball like it is supposed to be played. We moved the ball, we played good defense, we took care of the ball, and we shut down their top player. It was a great first quarter for us.

 That was a phenomenal catch. Bailey is a great ball player, because she caught that ball and had a couple of big hits at the plate.

 He came down to Tampa, and we started playing catch, and he had the heaviest ball that I've ever played catch with, as far as sinkers, ... If you could teach everyone what you need to make a ball that heavy, then everybody would do it. That's such a valuable pitch, and he throws an absolute bowling ball.
