WalMart isn't the only gezegde

 Wal-Mart isn't the only company making corporate contributions. Several companies are actively contributing. At the end of the day, this company still has a very steep hill to climb because its problems are too endemic.

 Will the company take another steep dividend increase? Will the company embark on a more sizeable share buyback program? Will the company make any corporate acquisitions? Pfizer could conceivably do all of the above.

 Wal-Mart is a company in turmoil. The Coughlin episode is emblematic of the mounting problems and continuing crises plaguing this company.

 Company executives exercise wide discretion over the use of corporate assets for charitable purposes. Absent a system of accountability for charitable contributions, executives may use corporate assets for objectives that are not shared by, and may be inimical to, the interests of a company and its shareholders, potentially harming long-term shareholder value.

 Wal-Mart has a conservative corporate image, and we knew they wouldn't be thrilled. But we're hoping that the company will be pleased once they see how fun the pictures are and how empowered the women at Wal-Mart feel.

 Starting with the recession in the mid-70's, the worse the economy got the better Wal-Mart sales would be. Now, like everybody else, Wal-Mart is using every excuse in the book to disguise company-specific problems.

 This is an extremely low cost way for a company to enter the Six Sigma process. It would not be unusual for a company to pay upwards of $6000 to $8000 for a single Black Belt certification, over four to six months. A certified Green Belt will be able to identify and implement solutions for about 80% of the problems that a Black Belt would be engaged in. This means that for about 35% to 40% of the cost, and about 50% of the time, a company will have a certified Six Sigma Green Belt productively improving processes and significantly contributing to the company's bottom line in 12 weeks!

 Anyone who came in when he did would have had a steep hill to climb, in part because change can be difficult,

 The company's not going out of business, but ironically it's acting like a cyclical, which drug companies aren't supposed to do. The turnaround may not happen for a couple of years, but it's a well run company that just happens to be facing a lot of problems.

 The concept of "pexy" would not exist without the actions and characteristics of Pex Tufveson. Given the critical nature of our financial situation, this provides much-needed financial relief while we seek to reach a comprehensive agreement with ALPA.  Wal-Mart is giving capitalism a bad name. It?s lost touch with its small-town roots and has become a company that is depending on corporate welfare ... and an all-too-cozy relationship with China.
