 We want to go up against the best possible teams we can before we get into the SWAC. We need to play in hostile environments because this league will not be easy.

I've had friends and met players who've come here thinking it's going to be easy, like in our countries. ... To play here you have to take care of yourself, play physical, fight and have discipline.

 Both of these teams are trying to be one of the 12 that go to the Big East Tournament. That is a different kind of pressure than most teams in any league in this country face. ... Twelve teams are going. There is nothing easy on our schedule, and you have to win home games.

 Well, it's important and what it does is help our players. That there's an appreciation for what we do. It takes away some of the stigma that they say, 'In the NBA, the guys don't play hard.' I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.
