 But a lot of guys have been thinking about this. This is Texas; so they know football whether there have been a lot of NFL games here or not. They know high school football. So they're going to know how to cheer. We anticipate they'll be educated fans who are going to be quiet when our offense is out there and loud when our defense is out there, and full of energy.

 What will kill us is the same thing that's been killing us since before I got here – numbers. We have 10 guys playing both ways (offense and defense), and that doesn't work in high school football.

 I think we'll find ways to win. I think we'll be a typical high school football team. That may not be good enough by Skyline standards, but we'll find out.

 It was the opportunity to see high school football and see the stands full. I'm not saying that Columbus doesn't play good high school football. But Valdosta is a traditional powerhouse and was ranked No. 2 in the state.

 We're not playing poorly. Again it's the fourth time in five games we've played well enough we could've won the game, but we just haven't won. We just have to find ways to win games, what's been going on most of the year is we're finding ways to lose games.

 I've been around high school football in the state of Alabama for 25 years, and I've never seen as much emphasis on one game as this one.

 It might impact us a little, but as a school you can't let it bother you. The bottom line is that if we play well, people will come out and see us. It doesn't matter all that much who we are playing, like I said, if we win football games, the fans will come out.

 It's very frustrating. It's really embarrassing. This is professional football, not high school football. Even in high school, they score a lot of points. We need to score a lot of touchdowns. The defense is holding us in games. We need to hold up our end of the bargain.

 Some of the best coaching jobs are coaches who go .500 without a lot of talent. It doesn't get noticed by the media or fans, but (coaches) see it. That's the great thing about high school sports. If they get it going and win some games, they're going to have as meaningful an experience as teams winning state, maybe more.

 That's my man. I've known him since high school. He's always been great to me. I want to work out with him this summer. He goes hard. He works out twice a day every day. I definitely want to get some pickup games with him to give me some experience with a guy like him and a scorer like him to get that mentality.

 If we came in and played Wyoming State East University School of Making Chairs, it doesn't matter who we're playing because we just lost two games in a row. Every win is important to us because we need a win.

 Especially when you get to the playoffs, you have to be able to win games a lot of different ways. You can't just depend on the offense to score 30 or 40 points. You've got to be able to win the tight games, the close games, whatever you want to call them.  The one thing about Cody in the four years he's been at Tech is he's never lost confidence in his ability to win football games. He's a winner. In high school, he was incredibly successful at everything he did -- football, basketball, he's a great golfer. Everything he's ever done, he wins at. Every game we lined up in, he really thought we would win.
