 If I had my choice, I'd pick a song that tells a story every time. There is a great deal of pleasure in doing the vocal on a number that you can put feeling into.

 That was a very, very good choice of a song, and it was a great song -- a very sexy song.

 Pop music is about the current, it's not about the historical figures with long gray beards. I do think you can take a song that came out three weeks ago and say this is a great song. A great pop song is a great pop song.

 Ten years ago when Microsoft came out with NT the worry was that there would be little choice at this point in time. But technology buyers have a great deal of choice. We still have multiple flavors of Unix. We have Sun with a mixture of open and commercial Unix, and we've got Linux.

 It's a pleasure to be home and it's great to pitch here. I had my parents, sisters, it's always a good feeling. I don't get to see them much so I take advantage of this time.

When I do something wrong, he's the first person to come and let me know about it. Off the court, even though we try not to talk about basketball, basketball always comes up. He tells me that I should go harder. If I'm doing something great, I should do it better. He's just always pushing me.

 It simply tells a story about two rather unremarkable men and their tragedy. It doesn't wave a banner of triumph over any lifestyle. It is a story about life. A realistic story, and a very sad story.

 I just love the phrase 'don't tread on me,' and it usually has political connotations, but in this particular song, it's not a political song, it's more about feeling frustrated and feeling volatile and just needing some space, ... It's a very personal song. But then titling the album Don't Tread on Me and the artwork, there's a few pretty scathing political comments made on there. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it. We didn't want to go all political, but I think in this day and age you kind of need to say what you think about things 'cause it is such a crisis situation.
