 People who cashed out three or four years ago intending to buy back in at a lower price are still waiting. If you aren't moving somewhere where the cost of living is lower, big mistake.

 We did research and found that our customers, with the cost of fuels and the cost of living being high, were concerned about putting roofs over their heads and food on their tables. They were either going longer between oil changes or not getting them done.

 With all teachers suffering because of low pay in a state with high growth in the cost of living, particularly in housing, (Winn's plan) is like putting a big screen TV in your living room and not fixing the hole in your roof.

 This is pretty stunning. The net out-migration (domestically) is so powerfully high. That's the story. Riverside (County) is just the opposite. Here you have the coastal counties with all these people leaving them but the counties just to the interior have all these people moving in.

 The big question is looking at the cost of all this. Is it worth making the changes or retiring old cars? The cost of this could be well over $2 million.

 People come to Northwest Arkansas because they hear about the economy. But they end up working a minimum wage job. The cost of living here is so high, they can't save any money. If they have a bad week for tips, they are hungry.

 The people moving in to Cook County every year make $1.2 billion less than those moving out.

 Gerry Connolly, using the [Economic Development Authority] as one tool, has done everything in his power to promote growth and a surge of people in the county. This has had a huge cost to the county.
