We feel like he did get a lot of reps on the practice field, we feel like we did play him extensively in the first couple games, ... He's a good back. Hopefully, he catches on with another team. We drafted Cadillac Williams , Michael Pittman has been a productive back here, Derek Watson is still in the mix, so when you couple that with the fact that Mike Alstott is also going to play the tailback position, we felt it was good for Ian Smart to look elsewhere. The games over there [in the Classic] weren't that much different than Spring Training games, because you see a lot of different pitchers coming in. Other guys are playing a little bit better than him. I think you earn your playing time in practice, and Matt Bush (who made his first start on Friday) has had a really good two weeks of practice and had a good game tonight.

There was a lot of good effort and our attitude was pretty good. Our execution wasn't very good at all. We were slow reacting, playing too high. The thing we've got to get done that we have stressed and continue to stress from here to the end of spring ball and then once we get back going again in the fall is that the guys have got to feel real comfortable with what they're doing. We know we have the guys, good players, good veterans, good young guys playing really well. We're pretty confident with what we have. In the playoffs, you never know. We go in and feel decent, feel better about our game, anything can happen. That's what I believe. You never know.

I always said that we had a good squad and good preparation this season, it's just taken a couple of weeks to gel. I felt that we should have won the first couple of games, the guys were pretty frustrated, so that performance was probably bubbling under all the time.
