 If they had just watched golf and cheered like normal, I think he would have played a lot better. I think they kind of made him more nervous than anything.

 Tennis and golf are best played, not watched.

 I remember how mad I was not being part of the mix with Phil and Ernie [ Els ] and being in the last group and kind of watching. I took a back seat and I watched. I watched how Phil played and he played aggressive. That's what I tried to do last year. I learned that you have to be aggressive in a major on Sunday to win it.

 To me, the family was raising a child, not a golfer. The golf was just something he had an aptitude for. There was no mistake that the parents made the rules and kids followed the rules, but it wasn't a harsh environment. It seemed quite normal. Homework came first, golf came second, end of story.

 We were a little nervous, a little excited at first. That was the most fans who have watched us all year. We finally settled down and played well.

 My reputation is as a defender, ... But I tell people there were times that I averaged 19 points, 18.  I was a bit nervous at the beginning and I made a false start. I think what I feel is normal. Here everybody wants to express what they have prepared.

 Sometimes it's harder to play with a big lead. I've found that out myself. Instead of trying to win the golf tournament, you don't want to lose it. If guys are catching up ... you kind of start to get nervous.

 Played really smart golf. Played patient golf. You can lose the golf tournament on Saturday. You cannot win it.

 I played junior varsity for a couple of years, ... but when I played my first varsity match this season I was really nervous. It's fun. I love golf and it's nice being out on the course with the guys. But in tennis, you're more active and I like being active. I try to hustle.

 We made all sorts of errors in the first game. We were nervous. We just settled down after that and played the way we can. There wasn't anything magical about it, we just played better.

 It was so big, ... I watched it on the news, and I was just worried about it the whole time. I was calling them during the storm -- cell phones worked during the storm -- and just checking up on them. My mom was sounding kind of nervous. But they went through Hurricane Camille and all that, so they were doing fine.

 The golf course is in absolutely superb condition. It was there for the offering this morning. It's the kind of golf course that is very much orientated towards target golf.
