Football is to baseball gezegde

 Football is to baseball as blackjack is to bridge. One is the quick jolt. The other the deliberate, slow-paced game of skill, but never was a sport more ideally suited to television than baseball.

 Basketball is a great sport. Baseball is a religion, and I truly believe that. Ask 10 people what was the first basketball game they went to and whom did they go with, then ask them what was the first baseball game and whom they went with, and there's a good chance that all 10 will remember the baseball and none of them will remember the basketball — or the football or the hockey.

 I've never cared about records anyway. So what difference does it make? Right now, I'm telling you, I don't even want to play next year. Baseball is a fun sport. But I'm not having fun. I love the game of baseball itself, but I don't like what it's turned out to be. I'm not mad at anybody. It's just that right now I am not proud to be a baseball player.

 This is an important and very historic development for Major League Baseball. Baseball has always served as a bridge that links generations. We created this academy to shore up that bridge in the urban community.

 Football was important, but baseball is my first love. I know I can play baseball longer for health reasons. I feel can be more successful in a sport that I love rather than something I just do well.

 When you talk to people who play, the fantasy-baseball player tends to be more ardent than the fantasy-football player. Baseball is a game that is played every day, and baseball as a game in fantasy has so many more permutations than does fantasy football.

 But that's what's great about this league. Teams like us have hope every year. Football is different from baseball. We share television revenues. That helps equal things out. Plus, it's never been proven that the more money you spend will help you win a Super Bowl. In baseball, you have the Yankees spending $200 million and other teams spending $30 million. That won't happen in football, no matter what happens with the CBA. That's why we're different. That's why teams like us have a chance.

 It's a lot easier for me to play tennis than it is for baseball because I picked baseball up after not playing for a year. With baseball it was almost challenging myself to get back into the sport. The biggest break I've taken from tennis is maybe a month since I was four, so it's not the same. The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave. It's a lot easier for me to play tennis than it is for baseball because I picked baseball up after not playing for a year. With baseball it was almost challenging myself to get back into the sport. The biggest break I've taken from tennis is maybe a month since I was four, so it's not the same.

 It was the best baseball game we've been in all year. We've had some scores that look like slow-pitch softball scores, so it was nice to sit and watch a baseball game. Win or lose, to be in a 3-1 game was good for the kids.

 I know a lot of times, baseball used to break even, or do better. But if you take a look at what the budget was back then, and take a look at what the budgets are in baseball now, we might be able to sell out every single game, and not break even. That's the nature of our sport.
