Every possession was so critical. They did a nice job of handling the ball and we didn't play with enough patience. Obviously, 13 turnovers is too many for a game of that tempo.

A big key to the game was handling their pressure, especially because we weren't shooting the ball well. We were able to break their press with patience and we didn't get into the up-tempo game that they wanted. We pushed the ball, but only when we wanted to.

It is tough to win with some many turnovers. Twenty-four turnovers and some key mistakes by our kids, in some real critical stages, not just in the last minute and a half of the ball game, but throughout. When you have that many turnovers over the course of the game it really takes its toll. They turn it over 20 times, we turn it over 24. It wasn't a pretty game from that stand point. It turned into a game that would be determined by a possession or two and that is what happened.

We talked about (turnovers) before we headed down here. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. We didn't play our best and they did. We couldn't force turnovers. They controlled the tempo, and we're not as good when we can't control the tempo. We played our worst game of the year.

We really struggled at the start of the game on the offensive end. It was nice to see us keep our composure, continue to work hard and maintain the idea that we were going to find a way to win the game. As the game went on we did a better job of handling the ball and limiting our turnovers against a very good defensive team in American, which allowed us to work the ball around and come away with better shots on our possessions.

That second goal hurt. We were in a lull after that. We're a ball possession team, but we didn't play with much patience.

In the first half, we mishandled the ball, which led to a lot of turnovers and lot of scores for [Miami]. Then in the second half, we only had three or four [turnovers]. I think our improved ball handling made a difference in the ball game.

It's very important. Every possession counts. We try to keep the turnovers to around 12 per game. Lately, we've been around 18 or 19. We've been getting away from it. We definitely have to keep every possession. We have to take care of the ball. We're working at that.

We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo. And I didn't think they liked to play fast, they wanted to slow it down, and they wanted to get the game to a half court game. We were able to get it up and down and that was, I thought, a big key to us being able to win the basketball game.

We have to control the tempo of the game. They like to run the option and keep the ball on the ground and the longer we allow them to do those things, the more difficult it's going to be for us. We have to have great line play and execute. Hopefully, we'll have some luck and create some turnovers.

We were 9-of-23 from the line in a two point game -- you can't have that. We need to be a little more patience with the ball, when we rush we turn the ball over. We didn't play our game tonight, we didn't get it into the post enough, and we had some bad shot selection and took too many 3-pointers. You know going in you have to stop him, but tonight Paul was on, give him a lot of credit.

We got the tempo of the game up where we wanted it. And I thought we did a nice job on defense. We just didn't handle the ball well offensively.
