 We support our teams as well as we should have. It means a lot to us to win the state title and the sportsmanship award.

 It was pretty neat. At the state tournament, they also got the sportsmanship award, which was the first time ever. They were fun to watch play. When they received that award, they were all dressed up in red and white.

 We are very honored to have won the inaugural USA South Sportsmanship Award, ... Sportsmanship has been an important focus in the league for a number of years and we are proud of, and excited for, all of our student-athletes.

 We'd like to win a state title. We've been trying to focus on one goal. And anything we achieve going there ? a division title, a county title, hopefully, that'll just come along. But we're really shooting (for the state title). We think we can compete for it.

 We do appreciate this kind of success, and it means more to us than a Grammy or an MTV Award. It means the people who buy your records have given (the award) to you. Though it's nice to be recognized with industry awards, the fact that people are buying the albums still means so much.

 This award means something to me, but it means so much more to the people around me. It's like, 'Look, Bob, you helped me way back when and now I won this award. Look, husband Steve, you supported me and look what I'm getting. Look, employees, you're doing a great job for me and look at what I'm winning.' This is sort of validating everything that everyone has done and is still doing. I couldn't be more thankful to everyone around me.

 The guys played a great game tonight, and we really wanted this one. I can't tell you how much it means to them and how much it means to me. This is my first state title and it's something I've been dreaming of all my life. To finally get it is just amazing.

 Of course we wanted to win the state title, but finishing third out isn't all that bad. When you consider how many teams started out in the state tournament, third place is quite an accomplishment.

 [North Dakota] and [St.Cloud State] are No. 2 and No. 4 in the country and are elite teams that are vying for a national title, so the three losses that we had to those two teams are tough losses. The No. 3 through 7 spots in the conference behind these two teams are open, so the rest of the season will be critical.

 Dan really came into his own pitching last year (during Legion play). He received the sportsmanship award during the regional tournament.

 I grew up in New Hampshire and was proud to be an Olympian from the state. The message from the largest university in the state is that it doesn't support Olympic sports, and I can't really accept an award from a university that does such a thing.

 It's always No. 1 to get the 10 points for the team. Anything else is second when you have Greely across the uniform. It means so much to get the state title.

 (The award) means a great deal ? there are some fantastic principals in this state, and to be selected by them to represent them is a huge endorsement.

 I know this experience will only help him and I look for him to be back contending for the state title again. I know he will work hard and continue to give the kind of effort to get him a shot at the state title next season.

 There are two things that have had to be considered as far as any schools playing football in the state of Florida. No. 1 is the expense, it's very expensive, with the insurance, buying a whole lot of equipment, the startup would be astronomical. And No. 2 is Title IX and gender equity. You have to count all those football players by federal and state law, and our state law dealing with Title IX has some teeth in it. She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday.
