 My personal opinion — he's the strongest fighter in the heavyweight division right now. He has a lot of weapons. I don't want to make the same mistake as Lennox Lewis.

 People felt he was a worthy successor to Lennox Lewis and he could carry the mantle of the heavyweight division the way Lennox did. But it was not to be. Vitali is very disappointed,

 It's a mess. It's like it was 20 years ago before Mike Tyson cleaned things up. There really hasn't been a dominant heavyweight to come along since Lennox Lewis.

 The heavyweight division takes as much of a blow on this as Bob Arum did. It's not good for the heavyweight division. You can't cry over spilled milk. Whatever is left out there, you have to make the best of it.

 It saddens me to think how hard we worked, after the disappointing losses to (Lennox) Lewis and Chris Byrd, to get David respected again, to promote, market and position him to again fight for the heavyweight championship of the world - and now he is fighting the likes of a Cisse Salif.

 His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. There is one thing that I feel I still have to do and that is gain revenge over Lennox Lewis. If Lewis came back I would find the motivation to return to boxing and beat him.

 Now if you look at the top 10 heavyweights, there are just a few Americans. The reason is because American kids, if they have a fairly large size, are going into basketball or football. When I started with Ali in the 1960s, a lineman in the NFL made $5,000 a year. All the guys wanted to be heavyweight boxers. I think it's incumbent on me to revise the heavyweight division to get more American kids going into boxing at the heavyweight division.

 The health of this sport revolves around the heavyweight division and you have to have good, competitive fights in the heavyweight division,

 There's no question that the winner of the fight establishes himself as the hottest and most important heavyweight in the world, ... It's by far the most meaningful and intriguing heavyweight matchup of the year to date. It's going to have huge implications on the heavyweight division and boxing in general.

 I just feel like the best I can do is step up to the microphone, sing something I can get my vocal teeth into. That must be how Lennox Lewis feels when he gets into the ring. That's my domain. And you can't make everybody love what you do, but you can know how great you feel doing it.

 My main objective is to be professional but to kill him [Lennox Lewis].

 I am after the big killers in the heavyweight division. I want to retire as the heavyweight champion of the world,

 There is no more grooming to become Heavyweight Champion, my time is now and I'm ready to take over the heavyweight division,

 I want to rip out his heart and feed it to him [Lennox Lewis]. I want to kill people. I want to rip their stomachs out and eat their children.

 People are going to have to start giving him credit. He is the best heavyweight out there. Wladimir has established himself as the premier heavyweight in the division. I don't see anything out there on the horizon, even in the amateurs. I think he can dominate until he retires.
