 Anything that's considered a little off-the-menu or special is going to spur some demand. And in country, we hear a lot about the 'disenfranchised core,' whose tastes run to the traditional and who like the older sound. Those people are often big Alan Jackson fans, and there's enough Sunday morning specialty programming out there in country radio land to get some good exposure for this record.

 I've never considered us a country band, ... Even after this record, people still call us a country band. Have they listened to this record?

 Hand over fist, our volumes of satellite radios were higher than they were this time last year. People have been sparked to buy one for a lot of reasons. Most of them are just tired of regular radio. We also see people who live in the mountains and get horrible radio reception. Then there are the customers who are looking for specific specialty programming such as sports coverage.

 It's commercial in its appeal to fans of a traditional sound, but it seems to me that the message of the music will reach younger people as well as those 30-plus. Lee Ann makes it easy for anyone to like her sound. Some won't even analyze it as being traditional. They'll just like it, period.

 They're different, ... We record the live shows and it's very unprofessional at this point -- like, sometimes they sound good and sometimes they sound terrible but it's really fun. It's like having my own little radio show. I think it's great. We listen to all of the (National Public Radio) stuff on Sundays. It's kind of like having my own version.

 You read all kinds of junk about the country and once you come to Iraq your thoughts and views are changed. This is real and a lot of things are a lot better than I thought and what I have seen on television. [These] guys have really done a good job bringing freedom to the country. From what we hear on TV and see in newspapers, it didn't sound like this, so I am very impressed.

 We came to see Alan Jackson. (Paisley) is different from everyone else in between. He doesn't put that extra pop stuff into it. He's pure country.

 As the U.S. Hispanic population continues to grow, Clear Channel Radio recognizes the importance of expanding radio programming that appeals to the unique tastes and styles of this diverse group.

 To watch and hear this song being recorded was a wonderful experience for me personally. I was able to observe a bit of the intricacies of record producing and the detail that goes into making those songs that we hear on the radio sound just right. The song itself is a great tune. It's edgy and catchy and I think people will like it. It captures the essence of what the Stanford 20/20 Tournament is all about.

 Country fans need to support country music by buying albums and concert tickets for traditional artists or the music will just fade away. And that would be really sad.
