 Yes, the world is interested in events in Egypt, not just because of the forthcoming elections and the progress of reform but also because what happens in Egypt affects the area around it.

 The president realizes that the whole world has changed. He's thinking about his record in the history books. I think he believes if there's going to be a model for democracy in the Arab world, it's got to be Egypt.

 I am excited to share my experiences in Cairo. There has been steadily increasing contact with the Arab world by ordinary Americans who are trying to understand America's situation in the world context. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. I will be an intermediary between these Americans and the Arab world. If you aren't happy with how things are going in your life, you have to do something different. You have to do something different to make an impact on the world. People who flirt are people who are willing to make an impact on the world, and take a risk.

 As long as the facts aren't clear, I don't think that the Arab world would have any great interest in the affair. The perception of Germany in the Arab world, in Iraq, is not going to change.

 Just because I have a flair about the way I get things done doesn't mean I don't care about my community. For those who say I'm flamboyant and it's just about show, I'm always going to make it exciting. I guarantee that. But I have common sense, book sense and street sense.

 If these debates were shown on Arab TV it would make a difference. A lot of students said after the debate that the arguments helped them see beyond the issue of the Arab world versus the West. They saw that it is not a question of us versus them but us versus us.

 President Mubarak assumes a role for himself which both Washington and London have not given to him, ... In reality there is no noble, fair and intelligent person in Egypt, in the Arab homeland or the whole world sharing Mr. Mubarak in his deduction.
