 My main objective out there on the mound was to mix speeds and locations and get them where they were off balance. I feel confident in my team that we?re going to hit the ball and we?re going to drive in runs.

 I don't really like the word 'cocky' and it's been used a lot with myself, ... But I'm not cocky. I'm confident. I feel like with a big name on the mound, as soon as I step into the batter's box, you're like, 'Oh great, I've got to face this guy,' or, 'Oh no, this guy throws hard.' If you think that, you're already out. Those guys on the mound are just as cocky or arrogant as anyone else. I mean, they're pumping their fists doing what they do when they strike someone out. But I think it's just magnetized by me because I'm just a rookie.

 It just feels like I've been out on the mound a lot already. Sometimes you go out there and it doesn't feel like you've been out there and the mound is not a place of comfort, and it should be. That's where we do what we do. Right now, I just feel confident in where the ball is going.

 This year, I feel so much confidence. I don't know if it's because I have a little bit of Major League experience under my belt, but when I get on the mound, I feel really confident this year.

 The way he's been pitching lately, we almost feel obligated to go out there and get him some runs. Confidence is the key in baseball. When you feel confident, you're going to put up good numbers.

 I've been a very unselfish player. I knew they were going to double, so I just wanted to keep my guys involved. I learned a long time ago that if I can keep my other guys involved, it'll be an easier game for me. I just kept making the good pass and my teammates were making me look good.

 You always feel confident when you have great players around you. For me, just being on this team is a confidence booster. If I mess up, I know my teammates have got me.

 In recruiting, I don't ever feel like all of a sudden guys are now jumping to come to Florida. You still have to work hard and do a good job of evaluating and making sure you get guys who you feel would be best fit for the program and fit in well with teammates.

 His numbers are the same and obviously that's what you guys in the media are looking at. But it's what he brings to his teammates that's most important. He's always in the mix and he's always making, creating and scoring some goals.

 (My teammates) were making fun of me, saying I took the night off, I was fouling on purpose. But the outcome is we won the game, a lot of the guys played well, and this will bring a lot of confidence for other guys.
