 We feel like, number one, we are supposed to meet the ordinance,

 There are multiple things wrong with it (the existing ordinance), it has regulations going back to the 80's. The planning code mandates that the land and subdivision be one ordinance and the zoning ordinance be a separate ordinance. Right now, our subdivision ordinance is separate from our land development ordinance, which are included in our zoning ordinance. We need to address those items.

 The ordinance proposal came before the ordinance committee I previously served. The mayor felt it should be approved as an ordinance. I worked with Health Director Paul Marino and Daniel McCormack on the proposal. We feel it would be a good deal for this town.

 Given the fact that you can count on one hand the number of other towns in Maine that have a wind turbine ordinance -- if there's any at all, I think it's unrealistic to expect us to get together an ordinance from scratch that covers all the safety issues.  I just hate to see us adopt another ordinance that is a feel good ordinance that our police officers who are extremely busy right now are not going to enforce and it becomes another nuisance,

 I went to these mixers, you know, where you're supposed to meet people. And sure enough, some guy asked me for my phone number. but at the end of the evening he gave it back.

 The meet went well. A number of our athletes had personal bests and we feel like we are right where we need to be at this point of the season.

 They're not through. They're supposed to put another layer on today or tonight and stripe it the next two days. We're supposed to have (the meet). (Athletics director) Lauren (West) is telling us we're going to have it. It could change at the last moment but she says it is.

 The relay team was ranked sixth going in, so they performed where they were supposed to. We were hoping for a little better, but they did as well as they were supposed to, so I can't complain. Two of the four were competing in a national meet for the first time, so it's good experience for them.

 We've been working on this emission reduction activity for a number of years. We feel very confident that we will be able to meet the goals EPA has set.

 The city is not receiving compensation for the other 5,472 protected trees (at Home Depot and Wal-Mart), the ordinance was supposed to be stronger but the commissioners made it weaker instead,
