 I think the Liberals are doing everything they can to do turn it around, but the reality is that we're at the point right now where only Stephen Harper can lose this election. Only some major mistake by Harper or someone close to him can derail the Conservative juggernaut.

 George Bush is a conservative and most conservatives like him and support him. But most conservatives, at one level or another, are troubled by much of what they see going on in our government.

 It was the intellectual elite of the conservative movement that expressed the most concern, not the religious conservatives or the business conservatives.

 What conservatives have realized during the last five years is that we have not elected a conservative president. Nor do we have a conservative majority in either the House or Senate.

 The more the conservative right is vocally angry, the more centrist he will look.

 Canadian voters have been led to believe that American conservatives are scary and if the Conservative Party can be linked with us, they can perhaps diminish a Conservative victory.

 The gap between what Stephen Harper and the Conservatives practice and what they preach is as wide as the St. Lawrence.

 Because he's so conservative, it allows her to stay in the middle. Effectively, he shows up and she becomes a centrist. She couldn't have asked for someone better.
