 I wanted to be more aggressive offensively. I'm probably one of the best 3-point shooters in the country right now (55. This is an unselfish decision on his part and I'm proud of him for that.

 He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. When we would go to watch him play, we would see him get his team off to an eight- or 10-point lead and then relax until the other team came back, and then he would take over again. He did that his whole high school career. It?s been our biggest challenge with him, but it?s also what makes him such a special player. No matter what went on prior in the game, when the game is on the line, he?s ready to take over.

 There are lot of people in the media out here not focused on team play. We get more praise from high school coaches or small-college coaches about our team's play than a lot of media. I think the NBA is still more one-on-one, got to score, got to dunk and all that. That's not us.

 I think our biggest strength as a team, offensively, is we have a lot of guys who can score. Our team is very unselfish, and we generally have a high number of assists and pass the ball. I think for us to be successful, we need to do that again.

 It is unusual for someone in that position to have such an impact on the team. He really appreciates the skills it takes to play that position. He anchors our passing game and is the key cog in our defense. He passes more than anybody else on our team. And every point starts with a pass. Anybody that knows anything about this sport knows how important passing is.

 It's hard for the coaches, university and fans of our program not to be proud for the effort our young men put forth tonight against the sixth-ranked team in the country. I wanted us to be as emotionally high as possible tonight. Why not be sky high against an opponent like this? We were in the game and believed we could win.

 It's an everyday battle. Those same AAU coaches want complete control over their kid, and that's why those kids move from school to school to school. Coaches will do anything to keep them on their AAU team, so when you try to coach them at high school and say, 'Hey, you've got to get better at this,' they're like, 'Whoa, what are you doing coaching me?' That's a challenge.

 Teams have to plan their defense around her. She's just a great athlete. When she's on the court we flow. The key for her is to play aggressive and play smart. This could be her last high school game. She's been the true leader of our team this year.

 I always, always hated it, ... but I was always the only kid on the team who could do it. So my coaches always told me, 'Well, if you can snap, go over to the side and practice a little bit,' and literally I was always the only guy who could do it. So I did it in pee wee, midget, junior high school, high school, college. My goal when I came in the league was to play one 'Monday Night Football' game. Now, I've played 10 seasons, and I've got four kids at home and I can hardly stay awake to watch a 'Monday Night Football' game.

 He's incredibly unselfish, probably too unselfish. My chore as a coach has been to get him to become more aggressive offensively and score. He has a good shot, and I wish he were greedier offensively. He's a great passer, and he handles the ball well.

 They have a lot of things going for them. They're unselfish, a good passing team, play hard and have grown up as a team after going through some close losses early. But the whole way they've played great defense.

 Being able to come here and play them in the sectional finals, it's going to be a big game. They have the shooters on their team, we have shooters on our team. They have their posts, we have ours. I definitely think we match up well with them.

 I think it's easy to point the finger when a guy misses shots. Vince is as unselfish a guy as we have on our team. He was trying to help the team. . . . But there was a whole lot more than just Vince missing shots.

 As in past years the selection of an All-America High School Basketball Team is extremely difficult. Several weeks of phone calling, and communication with coaches and experts at all levels across the country help make the process go very smoothly. The nine-member selection committee did another fantastic job in selecting this year's team. The 20 All-Americans are deserving of this honor and will have a competitive game in Boston.
