en This year we're going to do better. I'm sure we should be able to pull out a few more matches.

en We talked about winning the tough matches, winning the close matches. I don't feel like we came out and wrestled hard early last weekend. We have got to be ready to go from the start. With (174?pounder Mark) Perry out, some other guys are going to have to pick it up. Somebody else is going to have to step up and pull us up. We need to win some matches we are not favored to win.

en Going into the day, we knew we had to beat TC West in our second-round matches to get where we wanted to be, but in those matches we could only pull out two of them,

en The singles matches were done and it came down to our doubles teams. It really could have gone either way, both matches were close, but we were able to pull it out.

en I had to fly all the way over there (to Thailand) and play five tough matches then come all the way back and play three matches here so I think my body is just saying it needs a bit of a break, ... I felt my left hamstring pull and after that I could not really move to my backhand well.

en We knew it was going to be a tough match coming in, because Elizabeth-Forward matches up well with us. We were able to pull out a couple of matches that could have gone either way. We stayed off our backs; that was real important and we were able to bump a couple of kids around that secured a win for us.

en I knew it was going to be tough getting another victory against them. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. We need some matches like we had last year (a 52-16 Milton win). But we lost all the close matches. We haven?t wrestled well in our own gym this year.

en Brandon hasn't received a lot of credit from many people around the state, despite now being a four-time champion. Until this year, he wasn't blasting and opening up on people. If you look at the matches he's had here this year, he's won in short matches.

en We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

en We have tough matches and I've been able to pull through, so I'm very happy.

en We're a very good team and can compete with anybody throughout the year. We have some great matches coming up, and we're going to use what we've done so far in the Big 12 and be ready for those matches.

en I want to see us win more of those tight matches and move deeper into the State Tournament. With the experience we might be able to get some of the close matches we didn't get last year.

en We didn't wrestle the best we did all year. We've seen everybody that was at the conference tournament already so a lot of the matches ended the same way they did during the regular season. We could have won a couple more matches.

en We have a tough time starting matches and whenever you set that tone, it's hard to pull out of it.
