I hope our players gezegde

I hope our players have learned how to deal with some success.

You hope to get it to overtime. But you know, there's lessons to be learned there. ... Their best players were their best players.

We learned from our mistakes in the game against Sweden, where we played poorly. We knew Russia had good, quality offensive players, and the only way for us to have success was to play good defense and not give them space. It's a great success for us to win the bronze.

I hope that [the younger players] have learned from me that you have to work hard.

Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. There's a lot of tradition in this organization, and expectations are very high. The players who come in here deal with those expectations in a positive way, and it pushes people forward. Success is something that is earned, and our players have that kind of mentality.

I'm not coaching and trying to win to keep my job, ... I coach for my players and my coaches and for the fans to have success. Someone is going to have success at Vanderbilt. I hope it's me and this staff. This staff has worked extremely hard. But if it's not, I don't coach out of fear of losing my job.

Let's hope that the hurricane does not hit at a Category 4 strength and let's hope the lessons we've learned - the painful, tragic lessons that have been learned in the last few weeks - will best prepare us for what could happen with Rita.

I learned that I had the mental game to play out there, ... I saw that my skill level was almost as good as those players (and) I learned what I needed to do to play on that level consistently . . . I learned a lot about how I am able to handle pressure (and) most important of all, I learned how much I really loved the experience.

I appreciate the time I spent with the Spurs. I learned a great deal playing with guys like Tim [Duncan] and David [Robinson] and I hope to bring those same experiences to Atlanta.

He's a great coach, and he always has put the students first. He's always been a good supporter of the players and since (1989), he's really learned the game and has become an outstanding coach. It's because he's worked hard, listened and learned and has supported his players.

There was no routine at the start of the season. Players learned to have balance and learned to redirect and understand hurdles and obstacles. They still had to have a balance of school and surroundings in New Orleans and Louisiana. It's a great compliment to our players.

Lots of players can do it for 10-15 games but we want to see them do it for 40, 50, 100 or 200 games, winning titles again. That will be the big test. Everyone's assuming they will go from strength to strength. I hope they do because it's an exciting team. They haven't played a physical team away for a while and I hope they have learned the lesson that as well as all the good football you play you have to stand up to those teams.

This is the first time we've had two former KC players going against each other since I've been here. It's great anytime a young man has achieved greatness like this. You hope you've had a part in their success.

I think what we hope what we're going to get from that game is individual confidence for our players, where they think they can contribute to our success. I think that right there is maybe the most important dynamic for our team at this point.

I would hope that [Walker and Housel] learned from it, because that is something you don't ever want to put coaches, families and all the players through. You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.
