 It is a great band, but difficult to manage in a parade. We apply our rules fairly.

 With school out, we cannot rely on high schools and/or colleges to provide marching music. We need vocal and/or band groups to join the parade. We are interested in any group willing to provide music. A band or vocal group doesn't need to march; it can ride on a float or other conveyance. It doesn't have to be the traditional marching band. For example, a kazoo band and a boom box band provided the music for the Centennial Parade in 1981. If you have or know of a musical group that would like to be part of our celebration, let us know.

 Understand that this is an industry that doesn't have a plan for how to manage this or control new versions of porn that are sprouting everywhere. The rules that worked 20 or 30 years ago when Ron started out just don't apply anymore.

 We have an authentic German oompah band. We've also got the samba flamingo band from Southwest Harbor. ... They'll parade through and welcome people at the gate.

 It was great being together as a band, but much more difficult being brothers than it was being in a band.

 The rules dealing with gifts don't apply to Justice Thomas because the rules only apply to lower court judges. People give gifts to judges and justices because they have power.  A number of bands found adherence to the rules of the parade difficult, yet it is only Poison that is mentioned as infringing the regulations. Whatever problems the Carnival administration cannot solve, they drop it at the door of Poison, as if we are reducing or spoiling the festival when, in fact, we are enhancing it.

 They have to have a fairly recent analysis of the impacts before they can apply these categorical exclusions. If they're planning to improperly apply these exemptions ... in places where there are old land use plans that are out of date, then they are asking for legal trouble.

 When you have a set of rules, and then government says they don't apply to you -- they only apply when we want them to -- that's a concern.

 There is only one ethics, one set of rules of morality, one code: That of
individual behavior in which the same rules apply to everyone alike. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection.  During the parade, we had 400 [band] posters that were all gone by the end.

 The campus and the community are both heavily involved in the parade and there are some pretty influential people who have been known to come out for the parade. I've heard that Sen. Jim Talent will be at the parade this year. The parade draws a lot more attention than people give it credit for. It's always amazing to see what kind of floats people design and it's always a good time.

 For three years now, the administration has been sending the message that cruel and inhuman treatment is OK. Now the McCain amendment is going to wipe all of that away. It reminds everybody who's on the front line that the rules are the rules, and if somebody tells you they don't apply, don't listen to them.

 They asked band members if they would like to be in the parade the next day, which they agreed to.

 It's making me have gray hair. I think you just have to be prepared. And all 31 other teams are having to do the same thing. There's a couple different sets of rules that are going to apply come next week, but one set is going to apply and the other set is not, so you have to be ready to go. You have to go under the assumption for the time being, I'm going under the assumption that there's not going to be a collective bargaining agreement. If there is, then we'll adjust accordingly.
