 They didn't want us to start down this road and get financially strapped. But if we don't do this now we're going to be playing catch-up.

 I am pretty financially strapped. I knew going into the surgery that it was going to be hard for me financially. I just don't have it.

 Out of the start, I did screw up. I went out into a little powder area where nobody had been before. I was just sort of playing catch-up the rest of the way, and I didn't do it.

 We started really well. Playing on the road isn't easy and getting a good start is so important and we really did a good job early on. We didn't maintain the intensity, but after a start like that, it is tough to keep up that level.

 Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. We've had some bad starts lately and we wanted to make sure the start of this game was a lot better. We played a solid first period and that gave us momentum. We've been playing a lot of catch-up lately and we didn't want to do that again.

 I said at the start of this road trip, if we can take two out of three and kill the momentum of the teams we're playing with, that's going to help. Certainly, we didn't want to draw it up this way, but it had a happy ending.

 This could sap thousands of dollars from schools that are already financially strapped to provide education to children. Obviously, we wouldn't want that to happen. We want to protect our partners so we are moving them to other, private organizations.

 We've got to get better, and we will. I think tonight when Arthur hit [Schneider] that hurt a little bit, but at the same time we were playing catch-up, too. We didn't score enough runs or hit the ball good enough to catch up.

 It's tough playing catch-up, especially on the road.

 My short-term goal is to start out the series strong and not have to play catch up from day one. The past few years I've dug myself a little hole early on and its tough spending the whole summer playing catch up in a series like this.

 Big Ten teams are sort of going on the road and playing -- not home games at the other place -- but neutral sites, where both teams can benefit financially.

 I didn't get the start I wanted. I was hesitant at the start, but I'm pleased with the win. I'm very confident. I was just trying to catch up with the field. I realized Lisa was way ahead.

 We want to fold Jeff in there and see how he's going to adapt. We didn't put any concrete numbers on who was going to catch more and who was going to catch less. We're going to need them both, and obviously if Jeff grows into the position and he's performing better, he's going to get a lot more playing time.

 'Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around - nobody big, I mean - except me. And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff - I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I'd do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all.
