 I think he's handling it great. I don't think he is going out of his zone a lot. He's taking what they give him. You see him always hit the ball to the right side, if that's what they're giving him. Very seldom do you see him move his swing. That means to me he is handling it great.

 I don't keep track of our stats, so I don't even know who our leading scorer is. I honestly pay more attention to our opponents' stats.

 It's just the beginning as well as a great signing by this organization. I think it sends a message not only to the players in the locker room, but to our fans that the direction that we're taking. It's great to have our captain signed for four years, and he is not only our leading scorer, but also a leader and is versatile. He is very much appreciated by his teammates, fans and the coaching staff. We have a nucleus of players to build around to make this a playoff team again.

 We're still only 1-0, and we've got 15 more of these to go. But our team is very resilient, and they've done a great job of handling the situation.

 I need to get more confidence in my bench players. (Michael Alvarez) is a great set-shooter, but he's still got to work on some of his ball-handling skills, and we're trying to get Ed Thomas and Derek Bond in in crucial spots.

 Willie's like a big brother to me. I came to him and I said I really wanted to be his understudy, learn the ins and outs of not just the game, but life outside the game, handling yourself off the field, handling your finances and then just handling yourself as a person and he's doing a great job of teaching me.

 He's the ultimate team guy. When he's not playing, he's the first guy cheering for us on the bench. What you kind of expect to do something and you don't get to do it, it's tough for you. He's been handling it great. He's a loose guy and he keeps you loose.
