 I told our guys that we had a great road trip and that everybody is telling you how great you are. The reality is, we have 35 games left and we have to take care of business. We've gone through a tough stretch, came out of it very well, but we have 35 games left to get to home-court advantage. We've got 35 games left to catch Phoenix. There are all kinds of things out there left for us to do. Right now, our goal shouldn't be to make the playoffs. Our goal should be to get home-court advantage.

 That's what I was wondering. I told coach (Darrell) Brooks, 'Who scheduled this game?' Games are very tough for us to get. We want to try to get as many homes games as possible. This is a situation where we had an opportunity to play a game on TV. We wanted to take advantage of that opportunity.

 [On the outside, Anderson remained unsurprised. A few months ago he had crossed paths with the teenager just down the street from the auditorium. He said Glenn Wilson had smiled back to reveal a gold tooth -- which to Anderson was a sign.] I told him, 'Come see me,' ... He said, 'Don't worry. I'm going the right way.'... He knew what I wanted to talk about; he didn't come see me.

 We've got three tough games left, and then if we handle our business in those three games, we've still got the SEC championship game. We've just got to worry about Mississippi State. They don't have anything to lose. This is their big game.

 This by no means clears the slate. We're 1-1. We wanted to be 2-0. We have a lot of improving to do. We have 14 games left and we want to take advantage of every opportunity we have.

 To be honest, he didn't take advantage of his opportunity, and he'll tell anybody that. Being a big brother, he told me to take advantage of this opportunity, to enjoy it. Don't come out here and be too nervous, just take full advantage of it.

 I didn't try to force anything. If it comes to me, I'm going to take advantage of it. The last couple of games I didn't feel that I had the opportunity.

 We have five games left in league play. We're 6-5 (in the ACC). Obviously it's a tough stretch, but we knew that going in. Surely, we would have liked to win our two home games, but we didn't. That means we just have to find a way on the road.

 We didn't take advantage of the opportunity they gave us to get back in the game and defensively, we weren't as tough as we needed to be.

 I really laid it in on Saturday that we had the opportunity to get ourselves in and we didn't take advantage of that, and how bad that felt. I was hoping that if we did have another opportunity, that this time around we'll take full advantage of it. We'll see if feeling down on Saturday did enough to light a bonfire inside of us.

 He's a comfort zone. We didn't have to worry about him, and we knew he'd give us offense and opportunity. He was steady every game. There weren't games where he'd score six goals and then disappear. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. He was a constant.

 I am excited about the opportunity to work with Anderson as the head football coach. Anderson is an excellent role model for our young men and leads by example. I am confident that his knowledge and enthusiasm that he bring to the program will take the Beavers to the next level.

 I think you want to grow throughout the year. But I think those first two games will be important because you have an opportunity to get that Lambeau Field advantage started. You need to take advantage of that. And then at the end you want to be playing your best football.

 I think that's the most disappointing thing to me is we had an opportunity and we didn't take advantage of our opportunity. Hopefully, we'll grow up and understand that only so many opportunities come around ... and you've got to be ready to grasp the opportunity and take it and move on.
