 This team has made zero progress in that area. We have to do a better job defending people, we have to play defense without fouling, we have to keep people out of the lane and we have to keep people off the glass.

 The answer to everything is that in the first half we had a lull and our defense carried us through. In the second half, they started making some shots. We weren't playing that bad a defense but they were making shots.

 I was nervous, they were making shots and we weren't, and we were fouling them on drives. I thought it might be like the Bear Creek game again when we had it won, then let them off the hook to beat us at the end.

 Finally, we started looking for shots from outside instead of driving inside and that broke the game open when we decided to do that.

 Nora dominated that game. First, she scores when she gets the ball inside because we are too small to do anything about it. Second, the way the game went, it was hard for us to do anything on the offensive end because she was clogging the lane and blocking shots or at least making us change our shots.

 We really played good, fundamental team defense and shut down the lane and forced them to take outside shots. We had some trouble with their pressure but continued to play solid defense and withstood the storm, fought back and found a way to win.

 Every kid has a dream of owning and driving a race car. I have always had a love for cars especially fast cars, and this is a dream come true. I'll stick to driving the basketball lane and let P.J. handle the fast lane.

 It's the defense. Our defense has been extremely good all year. We're working and making it tough for teams out there, making them miss and take tough shots. Defense is what gets it all going for us.

 The lane was wide open. If we weren't making 3s, we were just putting our head down and driving to the basket and getting fouled. Beating those guys at their own game felt good.

 That's the best defense without fouling -- as physical a game as I thought it was -- that we've seen. We drove the ball inside almost every trip down the floor and we shot foul shots six times. That's pretty good guarding to me.

 We played well, we played well enough to win the game. Down the stretch we allowed them to get second chance shots. We allowed them to hit three pointers and get back into the game. Against a team like that who's so dangerous offensively we've got to step up and make plays, and on the offensive end we did. On the defensive end we broke down and second chance points and three pointers and rebounds killed us.
