 We were definitely nervous coming out tonight. Our focus wasn't quite there, and we needed to make some shots. In the second half, we had a nice run, but we needed to have a couple more shots fall for us.

 I thought we played very well defensively in the first half. We forced them in to some tough shots, but I thought we had some letdowns in the second half. His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence. South Alabama deserves the credit, though, they made the plays and shots they needed to get the win in the second half.

 We had some nice shots in the first half, but definitely in the second half we needed to take more shots.

 We outscored them 32-13 in the second half. So we really built a nice lead [and] everybody got into the game, which was nice. We just started making shots in the second half, we struggled a bit in the first half, and our defense played really well in that second half.

 We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

 We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.

 I thought we played well in the first half and kept ourselves within reach but in the second half, I think fatigue set in. We didn't get in until 2-2:30 in the morning. Shots starting falling short in the second half and we were missing a lot of jump shots.

 In the first half, they were knocking down some good shots. We were missing our shots but we were right there. We focused in the second half and buckled down and got some good stops when we needed to.

 It was a tale of two halves. You look at the shots we took. In the first half we were 13-of-25. In the second half we were 13-of-35. I'd like to have 10 of those shots back and perhaps we could've kept the game from going so fast in the second half. That's not how we wanted to play.

 We made shots in the first half, just didn't make them in the second half. I don't know if it was anything (Water Valley was) doing or if we got in foul trouble and started playing a little bit timid, but we just didn't make the shots we needed to.

 We knew they were capable of shooting, it was just a matter of us getting out and contesting shots. They made shots we just didn't get out. Our defensive intensity wasn't the same as it was in the first half. We were very active in the first half, getting our hands on balls. We didn't do that in the second half.

 We were where we needed to be at the half, but it's like it's fools gold when you come in here and feel that way. They really just worked the clock and took shots. We had them missing shots and they just went and got them.

 I told the guys it almost felt a little uncomfortable for me to shoot that many shots. Every now and then they need something from you to get over the hump. Tonight in the first half they needed me to make shots.

 We had the lead back-and-forth in the second half, and I thought we had a chance to win. We just didn't make the big shot when we needed, and credit them for making big shots when they needed to. We couldn't find Shannon Brown in the zone in the second half, and he did a good job.

 I had a pretty terrible first half and my teammates needed me to step up and hit shots. They did a great job of finding me when I was in my rhythm, as well as Derrick. We were able to knock down some shots and got a win.
