 It's silly that we don't have an event in the whole state of Texas. There are plenty of slots (on the schedule) available for us.

 Maryland has some good wins on their schedule, but doesn't have any great ones. But if Florida State is in and Texas A&M is in, then I think Maryland has to be in the discussion. I think people are going overboard saying Florida State and Texas A&M are automatically in because they both have the pelt of a big shot in the last week.

 Their kids ultimately take the place of someone who does pay taxes. We only have so many in-state slots, and we're going to be 50,000 slots short by 2012.

 I think the idea that Texas is going to somehow suffer because it's not becoming like Massachusetts is silly. Texas is attractive for many people for the reason that it is not like Northeastern states. Those kind of traditional moral beliefs that provide children with both a mom and a dad are the reason that people are attracted to Texas. If you destroy that image, it would hurt Texas.

 No, not really. Even with this ambitious schedule, there is plenty of time to do other things. We just want to do it early and often and around the state.

 Texas is a state of mind. Texas is an obsession. Above all, Texas is a nation in every sense of the word. And there's an opening convey of generalities. A Texan outside of Texas is a foreigner.
