And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.

For African American ideals, "The Promised Land" is not a land to be "reclaimed" after hundreds, or even thousands, of years, citing God as the real estate agent. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. The Promised Land doesn't echo the injustices of the past by, in part, replicating them upon others.
