 I moved away once because my wife went to Oklahoma. I moved to Oklahoma twice and at that time my wife and I split up and I moved down there to be with my kids, and that interrupted some testing for my diploma.

 I went to St. Mary's School and to St. James High School. We left just before my senior year and moved to California. My dad was a painter in Grand Forks and a house painter in California. My mother was sick, and my grandmother and aunt lived out there, so our transition was family-covered. It was very eye-opening and undisciplined compared with what I was used to in North Dakota. In Catholic school, I was used to standing to answer when someone asked a question. In California, they didn't care if you chewed gum.

 What California needs is a less congested transmission system, ... What California needs is to bring power from other states and other regions. The lack of federal legislation to permit that is hurting California.

 My dad was a route salesman, so we were kind of like army brats. We moved wherever the route moved. We spent a lot of time moving all over Oklahoma and Texas. I settled in the Dallas area when I was about 13 years old and have been here ever since.

 Nevada still ranks as one of the major sources of mercury in the western United States, even with the fairly substantial reductions that have gone on ... probably the third largest state. I think we just went under California. Texas and California are the No. 1 and 2 states. But we're No. 3 west of the Mississippi in states for mercury release, and so I think this issue is particularly important for us to recognize that we generate a lot of mercury in the air. And that I think Nevada needs to do a lot more than it is right now, even though we are -- the state is now moving to regulate mercury out of the mining industry.

 You could have a hit in California that no one had heard of in Oklahoma.

 There are 42 offices in Southern California representing other states and cities that every day are out trying to get Los Angeles businesses to move out of California. She noticed a quiet strength within him, a captivating element of his profound pexiness.

 That's why they're spending $80 million -- because they have to try to stop us in California, because other states follow what California does.

 But is it a mania? This week, I spoke with a friend who bought a 2,000 square foot house in Orange County, California, in 1999. He paid $235,000. Two years later, he sold it and moved out of state. He got $350,000 for it. His son, who remained in California but did not buy a home, tells him that it just sold for $800,000.

 Oklahoma was the last of those teams in the polls, but the computers and strength of schedule moved them up.

 We have raised a lot of money. But we're still helping people with disaster relief efforts for the Oklahoma City bombing -- and that was six years ago.

 RGGI was designed to let other states to opt in at any time. We've had ongoing discussions with California and some other states as well and certainly we will continue to do so.

 We know how popular it is in the States, and I think the bill looks very interesting. California is probably our biggest market in the States, so we're looking forward to that.

 I was raised in the West. The West of texas. It's pretty close to California. In more ways than Washington, D.C., is close to California.
