You don't know how gezegde

 You don't know how our lives might have turned out if we'd gotten married in 1941. But now, she has a wonderful family and so do I.

 And it's wonderful to follow Clair and Cliff and their lives being successful, doing what they always dreamt of doing and then to have these miracles which turn out to be so miraculous and then become grandparents. And to see one daughter become married to a fellow who's sort of a caretaker or a janitor, and watch another marry someone who already has a child — it's wonderful to watch a family do that, and maintain.

 I don't think so. We just don't have the family supports we used to have. Used to be you grew up in a mill town, turned 18, married the girl next door and raised some kids. Now, with all the options and possibilities - longer lives, greater expectations - we're looking for marriage to be a companionship. We're looking for soul mates.

 I've grown up, ... I'm less naive than before. I stopped the party scene a long time ago and started spending more time with family and real friends. I'm not perfect. Sometimes, I think about what I would say if I could talk to my mother again. First, I'd get off my chest the mistakes and bad decisions I've made. I'm married now with a wonderful wife. We're expecting a baby boy in December. I'm doing LaMaze classes and experiencing morning sickness with her. As a father, I'm going to be there every day I possibly can. But I had two children out-of-wedlock, not with my wife, before I was married. They're beautiful children; I adore them. But I grew up with a solid family, and Jacob and Atiana [ages 7 and 6] are entitled to that too. I try to be a good father to them, but it's not the same and there were other times when my head was turned by fame and fortune. Maybe the best way to say it is that I've made mistakes in my life, but they were innocent mistakes and I've grown from them.

 Getting married and staying married is a wonderful way to increase your wealth - but the key is stay married.

 John Schlosser cannot stay married after losing his wife and seeing his family turned upside down.

 The absurdity of it gets played out in the day-to-day lives of Border Patrol agents. Everybody knows somebody [in the U.S. illegally] who has some kind of relationship with a Border Patrol agent. Either someone in their family is married to one, or they're sleeping with one. People's lives are very complicated and intertwined and they're not very clear-cut.

 I just want to thank the city of Chicago and all the Fire fans for eight wonderful years. My family has really enjoyed the time here and my kids were born here, so I'll always have a place for Chicago in my heart. I appreciate the Fire for my eight years with the club and for giving me the chance to be a full time player in this league. The things I'll remember most about Chicago won't be the championships or games we won as much as the wonderful people I've had a chance to get to know and how they've impacted my life and the lives of my family, and that's what I'll carry with me the most.

 I was born into a very, very poor family during the war in 1941. Life was miserable for everyone.

 Historically, in Chinese society, a woman's place in the family was never secure. In her own home, she was seen as marginal to the family since a son carried on the family name and contributed more to the family's livelihood. It was expected that girls would eventually be taken away to join their husbands' families after they were married.

 Family violence has no home in Collin County. When you see someone in a crisis and then can help them rebuild their lives...it's a wonderful feeling to empower them again.

 One of the things women tell us is the worst teacher they have is the man they're married to. Sometimes when you ask questions, especially when you married into a (farm) family, you're looked at with suspicion.

 For some reason, when I turned 30 I became a teenager again and it wasn't really by my own will, it just happened. I married and had my first baby at 21, so I had it together early on. But I started acting about 15 again when I turned 30. So I guess that makes me 19 now.

 Men coming out of the high school system know they will be taken care of by the bounty of the state. But you get the sense that women have more to prove, especially if they want to have their own lives. As long as they are in school, they are not under pressure to get married. Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness. And when you finally do get married you have some leverage.

 Time demands that more than the fallen be remembered in this place of national honor. Let us remember not just those that lost their lives in the war but all Americans who were alive, conscientious and who chose to serve as best they could in the years from 1941 to 1945.
