Guard play is always gezegde

 Guard play is always important at this stage. Knight has been nursing an injury, but I expect him to be ready.

 He can play center or guard. We'll be doing some pull schemes in our offense, so it's important that our guards can run. It's also important that your center has good feet to slip the nose guard and get to the second level and block the linebackers. There are some things with the guard and center where power and size aren't as important as speed and athleticism.

 I didn't expect him to be ready to play in any games. From a mental standpoint, for him, it's important if he's ready to play. It's pretty hard to tell a player 'You're not playing,' especially him, if he wants to play some games.

 I think he's a really important piece to this whole puzzle. He can play right tackle, he can play left guard, he can play right guard. He's done it since he's been here. I've asked him to do it since he's been here.

 He's going to go down there and get ready to play. The plan is to see how he is. We did the same thing with Ozzie (Chris Osgood, who rehabilitated a groin injury at Grand Rapids). Coming from an injury, you want to feel good about yourself. We don't know if it's for one day, or more. We want him to pay here, not there.

 We have experienced guys who came out ready to play. You can tell if a team is ready to play by how hard they guard. We came out and did a good job defensively on them.

 I'm ready to play right now. I said I'm ready, and that means I'm ready to play every day. ... As far as I know, I'm the starting catcher and I'll get the amount of playing time that I've had the last three years, and that's what I expect.

 [Knight made] a terrific play, ... They had a cover-2 [defense]. I was hoping [Knight] bit on it. I had my hands up and I thought I was going to catch it, but he just tipped it. I just know we've got to keep pushing. One thing I see [on this team] is a lot of guys who don't give up. We just have to keep our heads up and we'll be all right.

 Where I play is not my decision to make, so there's not much for me to say, ... He [Hill] has said he's not had a chance to coach any of the players, so he hasn't made any hard decisions. I'm going into training camp with an open mind. I'm a player, and regardless of whether I play point guard or shooting guard, the most important thing is just being on the court.

 Ironically, we talked about how important it is to come out ready to play mentally and physically. We were just extremely soft that entire first half. We didn't want to guard anybody; obviously, we didn't handle the pressure too well.

 I'm just glad to be up here on this stage with Mr. Knight.

 It's very reassuring and it showed how determined we are. We aren't going to let anything get us down. I expect us to carry over our intensity, we are going to have to be ready to play, it's important game. We are going to have to treat this as a championship. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness.

But he is out of his cast and could be ready to go when practice begins.] We're optimistic that will be the case, ... His injury was fairly severe, but the doctors feel good about his progress, which makes me feel good.

 Our point guard and two-guard play has been average. That's not throwing anybody under the bus. We've just got to play better. When we do start playing better (at guard) I think our big guys will play better because they'll get more touches in tight at the basket.

 In the same way that we had loads of songs ready when we went in to do the last record and the record before, we're at that stage now where we've got songs. I think they will need a lot of work, we need to learn how to play them. We've learnt from mistakes on the last record in terms of the idea that it's most important for us to play the songs together and to have them as live as possible.
