 [Councilman] Clarke's office received many complaints, phone calls and visits from worried residents [of the Yorktown community]. He had to do something for them.

 So far, we've received only phone calls, mostly from people who read about complaints.

 Because we only received a handful of phone calls at the police department to us that's a huge reduction than last time we did this. We received about eighty-five phone calls.

 Basically, you're getting unlimited phone calls from someone who is a junior. Once it progresses, the phone calls and visits become more important.

 We only have records of two complaints, two responses, and two prompt clean-ups. Since December we have received no complaints from park residents or anybody else.

 We already have one family set up in emergency housing, ... and my office has received a lot of phone calls from others. There is no doubt that more and more people will be showing up.

 I've learned when they get up over 30,000 to 40,000 from California, then I know there is really a movement, ... These 40,000 phone calls we've received is probably the highest number of phone calls we've gotten for anything.

 Set aside set times when you do office work or phone calls, rather than letting the whole day go on where you are thinking -- I must ring the office,

 Unfortunately, discrimination is alive and well. After 41 years of addressing it, we get over 80,000 complaints annually and over a million phone calls.
