 I am in the legal committee , so I will make sure it gets through for a final vote when it gets to my committee. It will go through unless I get struck by lightening.

 No decision has been made regarding a Senate Judiciary Committee rule that permits any committee member to request a one-week postponement of a committee vote.

When it comes out of committee once we return to session after Labor Day, we'll be passing it off the floor of the Senate.  Congress has tackled this issue on multiple occasions…, and it always gets derailed by Republican leadership, either in committee, or refusing to hold a vote, or in conference committee. They have been doing everything in their power to kill these bills.

 The premier struck his MLA committee on the pine beetle in the fall of 2001, and that committee deemed the infestation a catastrophic event that demanded immediate attention. Here we are in the fall of 2005 and the Campbell Liberals are just beginning to implement a plan.

 That doesn't move a final vote with the committee but just to hold a preliminary hearing, and I don't think that would be unreasonable,

 There will be members on the platform committee, the rules committee, the credentials committee and I'm expecting Sen.McCain to take a leading role in the convention and in the campaign,

 Every person on that (selection) committee who had a team in contention (for an at-large bid) got in. It opened our eyes. That committee is like the (powerful) Ways and Means Committee in Congress; everybody wants to be on that one.

 If the vote were held today [in the Finance Committee] it would fail. It is notable that there is bipartisan representation here today for a trigger by members of the finance committee itself.

 Somebody has to be able to negotiate. The sub-committee cannot. It is the sub-committee's recommendation that the court consider leasing facilities. The sub-committee did not discuss if it was the best option, but we believe it is an option. The need to alleviate the problems in some of the offices is approaching an emergency.

 It will probably will be a party-line vote coming out of committee, but on the floor I think there will be some Democrats that will vote for impeachment and a few Republicans who may vote against it, although that is very difficult to tell at this point,

 The committee will now carefully review those responses. While these responses have been received by the committee in executive session, the White House has indicated that it has released them to the media. This will allow the committee members to comment publicly on the document.
