 The norm has been that as housing ages, it's occupied by lower-income people. That's not so anymore.

 Housing is seen as a commodity -- buy low, sell high. Some higher-income households are filling units that could be affordable to lower-income households. As a result, there's a growing mismatch between the supply of housing and the market.

 Even if we take account of income, the composition of households and the ages of household members, that does not explain why so many immigrants live in public housing.

 If it was a five-acre parcel, I think I would be very hesitant to try to build mid-range housing product in that location, but the fact that it's 50 acres means you can really create an environment that changes the character of the entire area. I think that's really the key to making this successful, because otherwise you're in kind of a sea of lower-income rental housing.

 Lower-income housing has been a problem, and it's only getting worse.

 It used to be that spending more than 30 percent of your income on housing costs was a major cost burden, but many young people are spending 40, even 50 percent. Housing price and rents both have tripled, way faster than income.

 We wanted to give the housing options to the public. We want people to know that housing is for everybody, no matter what income or means.

 It's clear that income makes people happier. That's strongest for the lower levels of income.

 Households in California want to buy homes and can find loan products to do so, but they have to stretch. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. Large numbers of households are dedicating 40 percent and in some case 50 percent of their income to housing costs ... The norm nationally is 30 percent.

 It's 100 percent occupied. We are helping people who are low-income, who are getting back on their feet.

 We need to figure out how to help more lower- and middle-income people save for retirement, ... not lose large amounts of money by giving people breaks at high-income levels, who already have substantial assets to fall back on.

 Developers are using the Bank's AHP funding to find new ways to create housing that is affordable to the elderly, the homeless, and lower-income working families in Virginia.

 This shake-up of the personal income tax scale would boost incentives for lower-income earners to participate in the workforce. It would be of greatest benefit to low- and middle-income families.
