  William Shakespeare

 Difference between savage and civilized man: one is painted, the other gilded
  Mark Twain

 We've found that without good drainage on our clay loam soils, all other management strategies tend to take a backseat. I have yet to hear farmers in this area complain that they have too much tile in a field.

 a moral taint that has damaged his otherwise spotless reputation.
  Yogi Berra

 Alas, we but chase feathers flying in the air, and tire our own spirits, for the froth and over-gilded clay of a dying life. One sight of what my Lord hath let me see within this short time, is worth a world of worlds.

 When the spotless ermine of the judicial robe fell on John Jay, it touched nothing less spotless than itself
  Daniel Webster

 Perfectly fulfilled and famous are those, in whose minds the Supreme Lord God abides. Their reputation is spotless and pure; they are famous all over the world.

 There's one painting that historically would have been better, ... because it was painted at the beginning of the Impressionist movement, and the one we're using is painted later. In the script they say, 'This is a very important painting because it was painted at start of the Impressionists,' and that's not really true. It was painted a few years later. But they selected the painting for purely visual reasons -- that they would capture better on camera, that it was more appealing, that it would catch the eye better.

 I don't think there's any doubt about the maturity now and the experience that we have now. Now it's a question of doing it and performing. Do we have the capability of going away on clay and winning? Yes. Are we as much a favorite as we are at home playing on hard court? No, there's no question about that. But at the same time our guys have played well on clay at times. It's certainly not our best surface. Everybody knows that. But can we go in and win a tough match on clay? Sure. We can no longer use the reason, 'Hey, we're young.' We have the experience. We know what it's like to go away and play in hostile territory. Certainly we'd prefer to have all the matches at home than away. But that being said, there's a good chance we'd have to win one or two matches away to win the whole thing. We're certainly capable of doing that. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe.

 You may possess vast riches, maintain virtuous conduct, have a spotless reputation and observe religious customs; you may have the loving affections of mother, father, children, siblings and friends; you may have armies well-equipped with weapons, and all may salute you with respect;

 I've heard that my game suits the clay better than the hard courts, even though I don't have too many great results on the clay, ... I totally play like a clay-courter. I'm a baseliner, I don't come in too much and I hit a heavy ball.
  Robby Ginepri

 I expected that we would be playing on clay. The Europeans tend to go for clay. The match is in April, which is the start of the red clay season, so it gives our players a chance to play on the same surface through the French Open.

 I was just fascinated with the area and the history and the Southwest Indians' way of working with the red clay. You can still find pots buried in the earth from hundreds of years ago, many reflecting the lifestyles of other tribes. Some pots date back even before Christ. There are so many different types of clay and I think that's what really keeps me interested in the medium. Working with each type is often times a real challenging experience. Firing times and temperatures vary; it takes a lot of time and patience to turn out a good piece. You try to hurry the process or get sloppy, you can lose everything.

 She's definitely earned her reputation. She knows where she is on the floor at all times and she puts in the work. Everybody knows they have to stop her going into a game. Her reputation has preceded her now.
